Design Thinking Cadre - Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools
This Design Thinking Cadre was a custom, 8-session professional development program for educators––equipping them with a design thinking experience, methodology, and common language to utilize in their classrooms and school systems.

Social Change Internship (Young Womxn's Edition)
Our sixth cohort of the Social Change Internship was open to women and gender minorities as we continue to combat systemic gaps and barriers, and push for an educational culture that inspires and empowers women.

MECA Challenge - Career Education Consortium
In this collaborative event, students addressed a real-world problem, ideated solutions and pitched their ideas to peers and key stakeholders. Working in teams and with local mentors, students created their concept and delivered a final pitch.

Back 2 School Innovation Challenge
In our first-ever Back To School Innovation Challenge (#B2SChallenge), over 150 Kansas City students from 11 different schools joined us virtually to solve the vaccination need in our community.

Social Change Internship
In 2021, our Education team was able to launch three cohorts of the Social Change Internship due to its popularity and high demand amongst Kansas City students and educators alike. 82 students have been accepted into the program, and counting.

MECA Methods - Hogan Preparatory Academy
Our Education team partnered with Hogan Preparatory Academy to offer Startland’s signature MECA Methods - our design thinking workshops for educators. Hogan’s educators specifically had the objective to build a scaffolded real world learning project.
